Brickwork repair and rebuild of two Victorian chimneys

This was the complete rebuild of the grand chimneys on this elegant Victorian mansion.

The chimneys were in a very sorry state and had to be rebuilt exactly as they were originally, including copings and decorative brickwork using original bricks taken from elsewhere in the house.

We were happy to restore them to their former glory.

Project:
Re-modelling and extension of a 1930′s semi-detached family property

This project was a complete re-modelling of the kitchen and dining area to give a large family space with a re-vamped fireplace and installation of a cast iron stove.

A first floor extension gave room for a new bedroom with ensuite showerroom and a larger family bathroom.

Redbrick Ltd. assessed the problems with our chimney thoroughly and presented us with options for our consideration. They carried out the repair to our listed property chimney with tremendous care and professionalism. Recently we have renovated and extended our family home, which also included some works to return parts of the property to its original era. Geoff and his team were on site early on and involved in all brickwork in building a large double garage (10m x 6m) a two storey extension and a single storey garden room. Some of the property’s original brickwork was replaced with bricks to match the new scheme and new stone cills and heads were fitted to 26 windows. We also replaced two large bay windows with stone and built a new arched french door opening at the side of the property. The quality of the work was excellent and my wife and I are extremely pleased with the finished product. I would not hesitate to recommend him to private individuals or companies.

Conversion to 35 apartments, of what was formerly a hotel and conference centre

This Victorian block of 3 houses was a building in a dangerous condition when we took on the project. This conversion required extensive knowledge of structural and propping practices to take the building to a point where conversion work could begin.

Our internal alterations created new spaces for modern living and added further to the building, maximising the space available.

As always, throughout the project, health and safety was a primary focus and we employed only best practice in line with health and safety legislation.
